This week focuses on embracing challenges. The text messages aimed at 6th graders use the experiences of characters from books to show positive examples of seeking challenges. The text messages for 7th grade parents focus on challenging assignments and highlighting the satisfaction of completing challenging tasks. 8th grade texts emphasize the Personal Graduation Plan and seeking out challenging classes to help students reach their dreams!
Responsible decision-making
The goal for this week is to help your middle schooler solve complex problems and building critical thinking skills. The 6th grade messages focus on parents guiding their children to solve problems. The messages for 7th grade parents build off the 6th grade theme of providing guidance to your child and also finding the resources to solve problems. The 8th grade messages also focus on guiding your child and also brainstorming ways to solve problems independently.

The overall goal for this week is to help middle schoolers identify their strengths and the various ways to utilize what they are good at. The goal of the 6th grade messages are for parents to recognize and help their child see their strengths. The 7th grade messages focus on reflecting on their strengths, and the 8th grade messages focus most on using strengths to reach their goals.
